from Ros a Mhíl (Rossaveal), a village 20 miles
west of Galway City. The coast road allows for
fabulous views of Co. Clare and the Burren
across the bay and approaching views of the Aran
Islands in the distance. Allow 1 hours drive
time from Galway to Rossaveal. |

opportunity to avail of sailings from Doolin to
the Aran Islands. |

Aer Arann Islands
is located just over 17 miles west of Galway city
and takes around 50 minutes drive. The Aran
experience starts with the scenic drive along the
coast road (R336) with breathtaking views of
Galway Bay. On this short trip you will pass
through the Irish speaking Gaeltacht, visit the
many local craft and novelty shops or enjoy
excellent traditional Irish Fare in the many
restaurants and pubs dotted along the way.
Alternatively you
can avail of the Aer Arann Islands shuttle service
which departs from Kinlay House Hostel, on
Merchants Road which is just off Eyre Square,
